Destruction - Wee Ryok

Because there is no "full contact" sparring in "classroom" Sparring, how does a student know if their kicking or striking ability is "up to scratch"? Will their kicks or strikes be effective in a self-defence situation? One way of testing this is the breaking or destruction of "breaker boards". Breaker boards test a student's ability in speed, power, accuracy and efficiency of a specified technique. Destruction is an important part of Taekwon-Do and our  training syllabus. Boards can be held by hand or placed in a purpose built holder. Students also practice "full contact" techniques on kick bags, kick shields, and focus mitts.
